Shri K. Selvakumar, holding an MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University, has built a distinguished 36-year career in aviation cargo management since joining the International Airports Authority of India (IAAI) as an Assistant Cargo Manager-Trainee in 1989. Throughout his tenure across major hubs like Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata, he has been a pivotal force in national cargo infrastructure innovation.
He served as a key pillar in the creation of AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company Limited (AAICLAS) and led the organization as Chief Operating Officer (COO) from August 2019 to February 2023. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a critical national role in the MoCA and MHA control rooms, planning and operating over 1,000 lifeline UDAN flights to distribute essential medical supplies, and later establishing the AAICLAS control room to coordinate nationwide vaccine and oxygen cylinder logistics.
He was also part of implementing Krishi UDAN 1.0 scheme in 2020 and the launch of Krishi UDAN 2.0 scheme by MoCA in 2021. His legacy of infrastructure creation includes developing the Common User Domestic Air Cargo Terminal concept in 2014, establishing 10 massive sheds (approximately 14,000 sqm) for the Chennai Nokia project, commissioning Delhi's third Import Cargo Terminal, and installing Chennai's unique and customised Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), enhancing the annual holding capacity by more than 7 lakh MT.
Most recently, as Regional Manager for the Eastern and North Eastern Region from February 2023 to June 2026, Shri Selvakumar transformed Kolkata Airport's cargo operations into a benchmark for sustainability and digitization.
Under his leadership, the airport excelled in the green initiatives of the National Trade Facilitation Action Plan (NTFAP) 2024–26, converting 84% of warehouse cargo handling equipment to electric vehicles—well ahead of the Government of India's 70% target—with initiatives underway to reach 95% by the end of 2026.
Simultaneously, he championed extensive e-initiatives, including enabling import e-gatepasses with over 90% trade acceptance, transitioning the Domestic Cargo Terminal to a paperless operations model, and implementing a 100% EDI-based Let Export Order (LEO) system in coordination with Customs.
These structural and technological advancements significantly enhanced trade facilitation, successfully reducing the processing dwell time for export cargo at Kolkata Airport from 27 hours in 2022 to just 22 hours in 2026.

Shri Kishore Kumar Senapati, is a Commerce Graduate with Honours from Calcutta University and Chartered Accountant (CA) of the 1997 batch from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He joined the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in 2001.
He has served in various Airports like Guwahati, Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Varanasi, Regional Headquarters – Eastern and North-Eastern, and Central Headquarters of AAI in different disciplines like Finance, Commercial, Station Head – Cargo, etc.
He has served as Airport Director with elan and helped increase the number of flights on non-RCS Routes with bigger-bodied aircrafts to various new and popular destinations like Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Patna for benefit of the flying public. He gave a facelift to the Airport with the aid of officials under him.
He has experience in the field of Budgeting, Budgetary Control, Expense monitoring, Revenue Monitoring, CAPEX, Treasury/fund management, Internal Control Review / Audit, Cost planning, Cost Control and Management, MIS development, Tax planning, Statutory compliance, implementing internal controls etc.
