AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company Ltd. (AAICLAS) was incorporated on 11th August 2016 as a 100 % subsidiary of Airports Authority of India. Keeping in mind the economic boom, the importance of Air Cargo and its impact on the overall Economy of India, AAICLAS was carved out of the Airports Authority of India as a separate Company to meet the challenges of the future.
AAICLAS is a professionally driven and responsive service enterprise with a vision to become the foremost integrated logistics company internationally and work as multi-modal interface linking air, surface & water transport with primary focus on Air Cargo Handling & Allied Services and, act as one-stop shop for all its customers/clients.
Thus, becoming the largest networked and fastest growing logistics solution provider company of India.
Currently, AAICLAS is operating 20 International and 31 Domestic Air Cargo Terminals Pan-India and 1 Courier Facility. AAICLAS has constructed advanced and integrated terminals with state-of-the-art facilities like Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), Elevated Transfer Vehicles (ETVs) and other mechanized equipment to meet Operational Demands and ensure Customer Satisfaction.
AAICLAS is capable of handling special cargoes and has successfully handled - Live Animals, Heavy Machinery, Odd Dimensional Project Cargo, Gems and Jewelry, Gold Bars, Hazardous Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Perishables etc.
In line with the policy of Govt. of India, AAICLAS has a strong focus on the North-Eastern Region wherein, it is developing modern infrastructural facilities with specific focus on perishable cargo such as setting-up of Centre for Perishable Cargo and Cold Chains. Export of perishable cargo has commenced from Guwahati Terminal.
AAICLAS has recently commenced full-fledged In-Line Hold Baggage Screening System operations at 11 Airports. AAICLAS has also been granted Regulated Agent (RA) Status by BCAS and accordingly, operates as Regulated Agent at Chennai, Kolkata, Surat, Bhopal, Jaipur, Indore and Tirupati.
AAICLAS has also commenced Cargo Terminal Operator (CTO) function at Chennai and Kolkata.
AAICLAS has an upgraded web based on-line IT System with Mobile-App for cargo transactions entailing paperless transaction of Cargo Operations.
AAICLAS also provides space on lease to all stakeholders within the terminal to facilitate smooth cargo handling with provision of value-added facilities such as e-Payment / e-Banking.
AAICLAS has played a crucial role in keeping the Air Cargo industry moving during the COVID-19 Pandemic as all its terminals were operational during the Lockdown period which facilitated movement of essential cargo viz. Medicines, PPE Kits, Test Kits etc. within and outside India.
AAICLAS also acted as a Nodal Agency for Krishi Udaan and coordinator for Lifeline Udaan initiatives of the Govt. of India during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
